{ABOUT Art & Tile}

It was a love of travel that first inspired my enduring passion for ceramic tiles. Captivated by the elegant tile murals of Portugal, the classic blue and white delft tiles of Holland, intricate detail of Greek ceramics and the rustic and colorful patterns of Mexico, trips abroad turned this passion into a thriving business.

 Soon The Tile Shop on Germantown Ave. in Chestnut Hill, was born. The venue offered customers a world of artisan tiles as well decorative home and garden accessories for nearly two decades. Continued trips to Europe and collaborations with several local artists, provided shoppers and interior designers an array of options as well as custom ceramic designs. A second shop in Society Hill, run with my stepdaughter, opened soon after, catering the Philadelphia/New York marketplace.

After my husband's passing I relocated to New Hope, Pa and traded the world of tile for a career in Real Estate. Rare spare time found me still enjoying creative endeavors, including art classes, organizing volunteer events and set design and acting in community theater.

Now retired and downsizing, but with an expansive tile inventory, I am returning to the tile and art business both online and with my new booth at the Mercantile in Doylestown Pa. Along with tiles I will be carrying unique handcrafted pieces, original paintings by my daughter Christina and select seasonal home decor items.
